These rankings are Breakout's end-of-season assessment of the 2025-26 season under Yahoo's default head-to-head points system: an account of how each player should have been valued on draft night in October, had the full season been known in advance.
Points scoring removes field goal percentage, free throw percentage and three-pointers as categories, which leaves volume to decide almost everything.
How these rankings work
Rankings are based on stats through to the end of Week 22. Most fantasy leagues have already wrapped by this point, so the season's last three weeks don't factor into the rankings.
Scoring follows Yahoo's default H2H settings: 1 point per point, 1.2 per rebound, 1.5 per assist, 3 per steal, 3 per block, and −1 per turnover. There is no bonus for a made three, so a three is worth one point more than a two.
Efficiency is not scored and is not adjusted for. A .430 shooter on twenty attempts and a .550 shooter on twelve are ranked on what they banked. Across the top 50, scoring accounts for 47.7% of all fantasy-point value, rebounds 17.5%, assists 17.2%, steals 7.5%, turnovers 5.6% and blocks 4.5%.
Elite per-game production with reduced availability is valued higher than mediocre production with maximum availability, even if the season totals add up to be the same. When a player is on IL, that roster spot is free for an active manager to stream value into.
Availability still matters. Players with multiple absences take a meaningful hit, and the size of that hit depends on the shape of their absences rather than the raw missed-game count. 10 games missed over one stint costs less than 10 games missed across B2B sets.
The full Top 150
AVL is availability, the share of team games played. FP/G is Yahoo fantasy points per game. PG RK is each player's rank by per-game value alone, so the gap between OVR RK and PG RK is the availability adjustment. CHG is the year-over-year change in end-of-season Yahoo points rank, and "—" marks a player new to the ranked pool.

The top of the board
This is who led 2025-26 Yahoo points performance. The number in brackets shows how many places each player rose or fell from their 2024-25 finish in this format.
1. Nikola Jokić — Jokić finished at 62.0 fantasy points per game, four clear of Dončić and more than ten clear of anyone else. His 12.6 rebounds and 10.6 assists are worth 31.0 points before he scores, which is why the gap holds in the one format that gives him nothing for shooting .573. Denver has since added DeMar DeRozan, who takes on some of the creation load. He remains the first pick.
2. Luka Dončić (+47) — Dončić rose 47 places, mostly on health rather than improvement. Points scoring also forgives him more than any other format: his 4.0 turnovers cost four points against a 62-point gross, and his free throw shooting costs nothing at all. The Lakers have added Walker Kessler, which should help the assists.
3. Shai Gilgeous-Alexander (0) — Gilgeous-Alexander posted the fourth-best per-game rate at 51.4 with equal fewest turnovers in the top ten. He finished 2nd in our 9-cat list and 3rd here.
4. Tyrese Maxey (+19) — Two steals a night is six fantasy points, around 12% of Maxey's nightly total and the largest steal contribution in the top twenty. He now shares a floor with LeBron James, Jaylen Brown and Joel Embiid.
5. Jalen Johnson (+43) — Johnson's 10.4 rebounds and 8.0 assists are worth 24.5 fantasy points before his scoring, which is what separates him from wings putting up similar point totals. The full-season line hides a weaker second half after CJ McCollum arrived in the Trae Young trade, and McCollum returns next season. The breakout was real, but the usage behind this rank is unlikely to return in full.
6. Victor Wembanyama (+2) — Wembanyama's 3.0 blocks are worth nine points a night, over 50% higher than the next shot blocker. It still leaves him sixth, because blocks are 4.5% of total value in this format against 47.7% for scoring. San Antonio has added creation and frontcourt support, and 79% availability leaves room in both health and rank.
7. Cade Cunningham (−2) — Cunningham's 9.9 assists convert to 14.9 points before any scoring, and his 3.7 turnovers cost him under four. Detroit added shooting rather than another initiator, so the creation load stays with him. The assists look repeatable.
8. Jaylen Brown (+32) — Brown finished 8th here against 30th in our 9-cat list, and the gap is efficiency. He moves to Philadelphia alongside Maxey, LeBron James and Embiid, the most crowded situation of anyone in this top ten. The counting numbers should compress.
9. Donovan Mitchell (+23) — Mitchell paired 28.0 points with his best availability in several seasons at 87%. Cleveland added James Harden at the deadline and kept him for 2026-27, which should mean easier shots and less time on the ball.
10. Kawhi Leonard (+96) — His per-game profile is elite, and his 2.1 turnovers tie Gilgeous-Alexander for the lowest in the top ten. He is the largest riser in the top ten mainly due to his 77% availability last season, which isn't expected to repeat.
11. Alperen Sengun (+5) — Sengun's 8.9 rebounds and 6.1 assists are worth 19.8 points before his scoring, and his 3.3 turnovers cost 3.3. Houston's hierarchy holds with Kevin Durant and Amen Thompson alongside him, so the role should not move. He is a steadier version of the profile that puts Jokić and Johnson at the top of this list.
12. Jamal Murray (+18) — Murray played 93% of Denver's games, second only to Barnes in the top fifteen. DeRozan's arrival cuts into the same creation pool Jokić gives up, so some regression could happen.
Risers and fallers
The change column compares each player's finish with the prior season under the same Yahoo model. A large move may reflect development, a new role or simply more games played.
Biggest risers
| Player | Chg | Availability | Driver |
|---|---|---|---|
| Ryan Rollins | +306 | 97% | Starting guard role |
| Jaylon Tyson | +296 | 90% | Expanded role |
| Collin Gillespie | +270 | 99% | Rotation minutes and creation |
| Reed Sheppard | +270 | 100% | Sophomore usage |
| Cam Spencer | +245 | 96% | Rotation breakthrough |
| Neemias Queta | +230 | 94% | Starting centre |
| Brandon Williams | +214 | 85% | Backup guard role |
| Matas Buzelis | +206 | 99% | Sophomore leap |
Role and skill together: Buzelis, Jalen Johnson (+43), Deni Avdija (+49), Stephon Castle (+85) and Anthony Black (+118) improved inside larger roles and held the per-game gains.
Availability-driven: Kawhi Leonard (+96), Chet Holmgren (+58) and Jrue Holiday (+83) rose mainly because they played. Their production was already established and their health is the part that is hard to project.
Biggest fallers
| Player | Chg | Availability |
|---|---|---|
| Domantas Sabonis | -99 | 26% |
| Jalen Green | -87 | 33% |
| Tyler Herro | -85 | 34% |
| Zach LaVine | -80 | 54% |
| Jalen Williams | -79 | 37% |
| Isaiah Hartenstein | -66 | 55% |
| Draymond Green | -66 | 82% |
| Anthony Davis | -65 | 28% |
Jalen Williams (-79) played 37% of the schedule, but 17.5 points and 5.4 assists also fell short of his prior profile, so better availability alone will not restore the rank. Zach LaVine (-80) has the reverse problem at 54%: the scoring held at 19.2, but 2.8 rebounds and 2.3 assists leave nothing around it.
Sabonis, Davis, Herro, Jalen Green and Ja Morant all produced when active and played 40% or less. Their rankings should recover given absence of injury.
The availability tax
These players produced at an elite per-game rate and finished well below it on games missed. The right column shows where the rate alone would have ranked.
| Player | FP/G | Availability | Actual finish | Per-game rank |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Giannis Antetokounmpo | 49.1 | 51% | 40 | 8th |
| Anthony Davis | 44.0 | 28% | 78 | 13th |
| Joel Embiid | 43.7 | 46% | 83 | 14th |
| Lauri Markkanen | 41.2 | 59% | 55 | 21st |
| Stephen Curry | 40.5 | 55% | 56 | 27th |
| Kevin Porter Jr. | 39.9 | 54% | 60 | 31st |
| Domantas Sabonis | 36.4 | 26% | 110 | 45th |
| Ja Morant | 35.8 | 29% | 138 | 53rd |
| Tyler Herro | 34.6 | 34% | 116 | 57th |
Davis and Embiid posted top-15 per-game rates and finished outside the top 75. Both will slide on 2026-27 boards because managers anchor on the finish rather than the rate, and a per-game top-15 talent in the seventh round is the largest expected-value gap on the board. It only works with the IL slots and the waiver activity to cover the weeks he misses.
Where this list can mislead
These rankings are descriptive rather than predictive. They record the Yahoo fantasy points players banked in 2025-26, not what they will bank once roles, teams and health change. The availability adjustment can also overcorrect, since chronic recurring absences are a worse bet than the same games lost to one injury.
What this means for your 2026-27 draft
Last season's rank means less when the role or health outlook has changed.
Stable role and genuine growth: Cade Cunningham, Amen Thompson, Stephon Castle and Matas Buzelis improved without losing the opportunities that produced it.
Breakout, but fewer touches ahead: Tyrese Maxey, Jalen Johnson and Jaylen Brown can each stay excellent while finishing below their 2025-26 ranks.
Pay for usage, not efficiency: coming across from a category league, stop discounting the inefficient high-volume scorer and start discounting the efficient low-usage big.
Julius Randle, Scottie Barnes, Amen Thompson, Kevin Durant and Desmond Bane all out-earned flashier teammates on games played alone.
Don't overvalue per-game production: Kawhi Leonard, Anthony Davis and Joel Embiid should be priced according to how much injury risk a roster can absorb.
Injury discounts: a faller becomes good value only when the draft-day discount exceeds the expected value lost to the injury.
